Taking on The Round Robin Challenge

Good friend of mine and fellow Blogger, Mr. Smith , has drawn my attention to a Round Robin Blog Challenge that he has participated in.     This week's challenge is called Two Great Tastes That Are Great Together. This challenge is actually an easy one for me, as the topic I am going to talk about is one I was planning on doing. DC Comic has been doing a He-Man and Thundercats limited series crossover event. I was going to wait until the series finished up to write about it, but it fits this challenge too well. The series starts off with Mumm-ra and the Spirits of Evil working on a plan to find a way defeat the Thundercats by acquiring a weapon more powerful than the Sword of Omens. They are able to move Third Earth to the orbit of Eternia during a coming of age ceremony for Prince Adam. Of course all chaos break loose. Just Some Stuff From Films That Bothers Me

  Just watched the 'Final Destination' films. While I did enjoy the mindless, brutal crazed methods of death in them, they used two concepts that truly bug me in films. The first one is the rules that there is no logical way for anyone to know. I think the worst example of this I have ever seen is from the movie 'Cool World', where somehow everyone knows these rules regarding the cartoons' interaction with the 'real' world characters. There is no logic at all as to where they world have learned those rules, since there has been almost no interaction between the two worlds. In the 'Final Destination' films, most of the rules we are given are 100% pure speculation from the characters. Pure assumption, but we are supposed to believe these are the real, solid rules. The suicide or killing someone to take you place in death have no evidence at all they would work. The second issue I have is how no one seems to be affected by the horrors they witness. We d...

Identifying One's Own Kind

 I'm going to start this post with an apology to George Carlin. I love his comedy. He was a brilliant and funny guy. The issue at hand is his reasoning, as he wore only completely black outfits was because he didn't want to be a walking billboard. And I do agree with his reasoning and the truth of it. It was his way of expressing himself and I will always applaud that. I myself have no problem with being a walking billboard as long as it is for something I have a passion for. It is how I choose to express myself, having my interests on display for others to see. I personally believe that is actually a healthy thing to do and would encourage everyone to do that for whatever their passions are. Time to make your guesses as to my reasoning. Being as geeky as I am, I have lots of geeky T-shirts and wear them regularly and have found them to be great for getting fans of the same things I like, to interact with.
